So what do the three R's mean?
You can reduce the amount of plastic, water, paper, and energy use every day. You can reuse paper if you only use one side at a time. Then, when the paper is all used up, you can recycle it. You can also reduce the amount of water by turning off the water while brushing your teeth, you can shorten your shower, and you can turn off the water while washing your hands. You can even reuse water by taking saved rain water to water your plants. You can reduce energy by turning off extra lights that don't need to be on, unplug your computer when you leave for vacation, and even go in through your front door when you get home instead of using your electric garage door opening. Not only do all of these things help save the earth, but they also save your family money. If you use a lot of energy in your house, you are going to have a higher energy bill. Same with your water bill.
